Apply to Singing school for young students (nuorten laulukoulu)
Singing School for young students is meant for all is a three year program for all between ages 11 and 15 who are interested in improving their singing skills. The course lasts for three school years.
The registration period is from March 24 to April 21 2025.
Entrance exams at the conservatory: 12 to 15 May 2025

How to apply:
- Fill in the application form (link above)
- You will get an automatic reply announcing that your application has been received
- After the application period has ended, you will receive instruction on how to book an entrance exam by email
- Arrive at the scheduled time to the conservatory (Ruoholahdentori 6, right next to the metro station)
- We will announce the decisions regarding student selection by email on June 5, 2025
The entrance exam includes:
- Discussion about your music related hobbies, on why you wish to pursue your hobby at the Helsinki Conservatory, as well as if you have any other hobbies
- Singing the song Taivas on sininen ja valkoinen, in any key.
- In addition, you can sing a song of your choice. Pick a song that you like, and learn a verse of it.
- There is no pianist present at the audition. The songs will be sang unaccompanied.
